Mutu Monthly Wrap - Sept 2020
An update post-launch
We want to start our first monthly wrap since going live with the Mutu app with a BIG thank you to everyone who has downloaded and signed up to Mutu. Thanks to you, we have had 2,500 app downloads and 1,200 items listed so far. We are #2 and #16 in the shopping category on the Google Play and iOS App Store respectively. And Kiwis have loved our launch video, with over 55,000 views to date!
While our initial focus was on growing our userbase in Christchurch, we have seen interest from all over New Zealand. So, we are now encouraging Kiwis all over the country to sign up. If you know a mate who would love Mutu, please send them our way.
Thank you for your honest and constructive feedback about the Mutu app so far. As a young kiwi company, this is invaluable to us and we've been using it to make continuous improvements to the platform.
Happy sharing! Toby and the team at Mutu

DIY and Garden
DIY and Garden items are popular with Kiwis as the days get longer. Rent ladders, drills, waterblasters, welders and more. Or go on a grass cutting date with Larry the Lawnmower (pictured) for just $31 a day!
From DSLRs to drones, Mutu's Photography category is a hit. We have a wide range of cameras and lenses from reputable brands, as well as drones, GoPros and other studio equipment.
Outdoor and Sport
As the number one category on Mutu, Outdoor and Sports gear is proving extremely popular. Rent a kayak from as little as $15 a day, a tent or a bike from $10 a day and a paddle board from $25 a day.
Jacinda got her very own Mutu tee this month!
Join us for Recycling Week
Mutu offers a more sustainable alternative to buying and this year we're excited to be participating in Recycling Week! Planned for 19 - 25 October, Recycling Week aims to encourage more New Zealanders to practise conscious consumerism and consider their procurement and disposal habits! Sounds like a bit of us!
